Bonus Episode: The Depreciation Lands Museum's Halloween Lantern Tours, 2016

Happy Halloween! Here is a quick video I took just before the Halloween Lantern Tour at the Depreciation Lands Museum! This year I was a storyteller, telling a ghost tale from days of old...

I also added creepy music for extra atmostphere. :)

New Store, Coupon Code, and Remaining 2016 Events!

Greetings!

As the seasons change and the weather cools, much is brewing up over here!

First, I am happy to announce that my store, Antiquity & Illusion, is now open. Not only does it consist of items like my photos, music, movies, and books, it also includes my product line of the same name. :) The product line consists of items such as candles, wax melts, potpourri, aroma beads, and other items inspired by my music and books! Some of the items have been included in fundraiser gift baskets, and even a subscription book box that also featured my novel, Descent (The Birthrite Series, #1).

I will be posting more products there soon, but here is the link to the website store:

I also have a storenvy:

More products will be going up in the next week.
There is also a coupon code for first time visitors. Just type in the code ANTIQUITY at checkout and receive 15% off of your first order!

In addition, I still have some events left in 2016, including a couple where I'll have my new wax melts and other products. :)  Visit the SHOWS & EVENTS page for details.

There is much more to do this year and I'm already being set up for events in 2017. Much more is to come.

Thanks to everyone. :)

Two New Episodes (episodes 19 and 20)!

Yes, episodes 19 and 20 are being released simultaneously (due to episode 20 being part of my 31 Days of Halloween).

For episode 19, I traveled back to the Edwardian era (early 20th century up until World War I, though some Edwardian events do include World War I...this one did). It was great fun and I hope you enjoy some of the footage I got.

For more, visit:
http://www.edwardiansocial.com

So we are also on Episode 20 of The Parting of Veils (what???).  In this episode, I recount a true scary tale that happened to me during the Halloween season a couple years ago.  So sit back and enjoy...

Episode 16: Visiting Gettysburg

Kicking off the next 5 episodes with scenes from my recent trip to Gettysburg, PA, where one of the most brutal battles of the Civil War took place. Sites included in this episode are the Bechtel Victorian Mansion, Miss Betty's Ghosts, The Dobbin House, and The Lincoln Train Museum. Resuming Next Friday

Hi everyone,

After a whirlwind of planning and getting new projects underway, episodes will be resuming next Friday. I'm thinking of maybe doing ten episodes and then a brief two week hiatus in between before starting the next ten. I'll figure out a system. :)

In the meantime, here is one of the earlier episodes as a little #tbt #ThrowbackThursday

And here is also one of my Historical Musings videos, chronicling my historical research. In this video I talk about witches in early American. Enjoy!

Resuming on June 3

Hi all,

We ended up taking a bit of a hiatus in May (taking a little time to take care of a few things over here). But there will be much fun and more adventure to be had in June. I'm also rethinking the format here, which I will also be posting of soon.

So have a great weekend all and see you in June!

And check out my website and official blog in the meantime. :)

Episode 14, Featuring the Celtic Rock Band Tempest!

For episode 14 I had the pleasure of seeing the amazing Celtic Rock band Tempest for the third or fourth year in a row. I take you all into the concert venue, make a few clips from the performance available, and give you a little run down of the show!

Check out Tempest and their musical releases at the website, http://tempestmusic.com And here is a review I did last year at my blog of their latest album, The Tracks We Leave: http://tiffanyapanwritingproject.blogspot.com/2015/05/music-review-tempests-new-album-tracks.html In next week's episode, I will be reviewing their album, The Gravel Walk. Episode 13: Vampires and Asylums (Part 2)

Greetings! In this episode, I continue my travels to a couple little towns in West Virginia, home of horror author, Gary Lee Vincent (of the Darkened Hills book series). I visit Clarksburg, Weston, and Salem. All three of these areas inspired Gary's books in the Darkened series.
Because there is so much footage, I divided this expedition into two episodes. In this one, we journey into Salem and Clarksburg in West Virginia, the very places and landmarks that inspired Gary's Darkened Hills series.

There are also a lot more photos of last week's asylum tour, bonus footage, and photos of the areas we are exploring in this episode coming soon...

Episode 12: Vampires and Asylums (Part 1)

Greetings! In this episode, I travel to a couple little towns in West Virginia, home of horror author, Gary Lee Vincent (of the Darkened Hills book series). I visit Clarksburg, Weston, and Salem. All three of these areas inspired Gary's books in the Darkened series.
Because there is so much footage, I divided this expedition into two episodes. In this one, we discuss some of the historical inspiration behind Gary's books and visit an old asylum. The Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum was built during the Civil War and closed in 1994. It now serves as a museum to tour and get a little history on!

Next week, we will travel to the areas of Clarksburg and Salem, and the places that inspired Darkened Hills...

Check out Gary Lee Vincent's work:

CORRECTION: Gary Lee Vincent is actually from Clarksburg...Salem is a town near Clarksburg and was merely an inspiration for Darkened Hills.

Photos from the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum Tour

Greetings...

Part of making episodes 12 and 13 involved a visit to the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, which opened during the Civil War and closed in 1994. Episode 12 will be posted tomorrow, but for the time being, here are photos from the asylum tour. More photos will come too. Enjoy! :)

And check out the Trans Allegney Lunatic Asylum website. Maybe book your own tour!

Greetings mortals...

Today we travel back in time, back to the 18th century...

Recently, I attended a wonderful concert at the historic Old St. Luke's Church, followed by an after party at the Woodville Plantation. In 18th century attire, of course.
